Are you able to collect unemployment if you were at a commission based job?

My husband worked at a position where he was paid solely based on commission. He is no longer at that job and looking to collect unemployment while he looks for his new job. Can you collect unemployment from a job that paid you in commission only, not salary or hourly?

Of course. I worked strictly commision and I am getting paid unemployment now. Theyre going to review how much money your husband made based on last year. They look at which quarter or months he made the most commision theyll pay him that divided by 26. The 26 meaning 26 weeks theyll pay up to. Make sure he files a claim as soon as possible. It should be about 2-3 weeks before theyll send the payments.
