When one quits a full time job they can not collect unemployment unless there’s some extraordinary circumstance that allows it…But how about if one’s already collecting unemployment and working part time….if they quit their job, will they still get their benefits?

Unless you have a valid reason for quitting Yes you can lose your benefits. Even if it is only a part time job. Part of your requirement for U.E. is to be actively looking for work. to quit a job you already have is not a good thing to do while claiming benefits. I am sure it varies from state to state. But all states base what you are paid; on prior employment , & what you are receiving while working part time now. Quitting is not advisable, especially with states stretched to the limit with unemployed people. You can quit. that is your right , but they have the right to deny you benefits when you had work available, & refused it by quitting.*
