Can I work a temporary job, while getting Unemployment?

I currently am on Unemployment in NJ.
I am being offered a temporary (no hope of being permanent) job working friday and saturday for 4 weeks.
I know I have to claim this when I do my biweekly phone call.. but how drastically will my benefits $ amount change?

It is only temporary, and I will not have the income after the month is over.

In Missouri you would be required to report all earnings to Unemployment office, and they will deduct your earnings from your check. Unless you are working for cash, they will find out and you will have to pay them back

I have collected in NJ before as well. I believe if you work, your beneifts for that time will be withheld. So if you work for six weeks, your benefits will be extended for six more weeks.

According to laws in Nevada (laws vary from state to state) you may still be able to collect. You do need to report your earnings, and depending on your weekly benefit amount (or bi-weekly benefit amount…I’m not sure how NJ works), you may be paid the difference from NJ if you earn less than that. But make sure to let the UI office know when the job ends because they might have to notify that employer. Your best bet would be to call the UI office and ask :)
