Using tax form 1040A Federal and Turbotax, where do you put in job search expenses?

I’m using Turbotax to file for my 1040A Federal taxes. Turbotax says you can deduct job search expenses while unemployed. Does anyone know where or how you enter those? I already IMed Turbotax and they have no idea how to do it even though in the help section it says it’s possible.

Those are itemized deductions. If you do not qualify for itemization, then you cannot claim those.

You must itemize deductions to claim such expenses. See IRS Publication 529.

that would be misc deductions if you are itemizing, if you are not itemizing, forget the whole thing

Nowhere. You can’t claim them on a 1040A

You can deduct them only if you file Form 1040.
You cannot deduct them if you file Form 1040A.

On 1040A, you don’t. Job search expenses are itemized deductions, and to itemize you use form 1040 and schedule A.
