Can you go from a temp job to back on unemployment?

I was laid off from my job of 3.5 years last Friday and have applied for some temp positions (in addition to the full-time positions I applied for as well).
If I receive unemployment now, and then get a daily temp job for a couple of weeks or even a month, can I go back on unemployment after the job is over?

You have to apply for benifts again at EDD.
Depends how much you were paid. the amount off benefits may change.

Usually if you work a temp position and it ended, you can draw unemployment. Contact your unemployment office to verify. Each state has its own requirements.

I hope you get a job. It’s a shame that President Bush’s mess is still carrying on to this day.

You can’t file for benefits (I think unemployment tells you not to) while you are working. If you don’t file while you’re working, and do it for long enough, your account will go dormant, meaning you will have to, essentially, be re-approved to receive the same claim that you have been drawing.

I had a few temp jobs while being unemployed (recently) and had to get re-approved because my account went dormant. It took 3 weeks to re-approve me to receive the little I had left on my claim.
