You are probably wasting your time submitting your resume to online so-called job websites since most of them are merely collecting information which they sell to prospective employment agencies. It’s not an issue of applying in person. You would fare better by signing up with an employment agency which specializes in your work area, such as appleone.com or voit.com which have a monopoly on office jobs.

    Good luck!

It probably depends on the job. I can say that you have a better chance the sooner you reply to the posting in relation to the time they posted the job. For example – I did get an interview from a careerbuilder.com listing but I also applied the same day it was posted. You just have to be fast. And don’t waste time applying to jobs you aren’t qualified for.
