I am applying for a job in which I mention i am strong applicant for the postion. However, i was wondering if i should say “i would be available for other possible job opportunities if I do not fit this position” or if i should just leave that part off. This is for a cover letter that I am sending out. Any help would be great. Thanks.

This is okay but focus on the job you applied for. Including a pitch for “any other job opportunities” would be at best, akward, at worst, hint of desperation.
Try this phrase: If you believe my qualifications don’t match your needs for this position, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss other opportunities within your company.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
I would wait until the interview to say something like that. Employers look for what they are looking for in that specific position. If you really want to work for that particular company, keep your eyes open for more opportunities in the future.
I would suggest you hold off on that information until you get an interview. When I’m looking at resumes that would put you in the pile of people I probably don’t want to waste my time on. Once you get a chance to interview and you have them interested thats when you want them to know that you are a hot comodity.
I would not mention other offers. An employer will look at this as you having other obligations or “this” job as a back-up and not taking the whole application/resume thing importantly. Would you like to read a resume from someone who said that they have potential jobs waiting? And not to mention, it is kind of boastful in an “arrogant” kind of way. Just leave it out and if you get the other job so be it, but they don’t need to know. Hope this helps!
