Can I receive unemployment after a temporary job?

I was fired from my job in March and I filed for unemployment but I was denied the benefits and I appealed it, but then I just came off a temporary job that I had for 2 weeks. I’m not sure if I can receive unemployment now since my case is in the appeals process and also when I received the letter stating I was denied unemployment it said that besides appealing it the other way I can receive the benefits is if I earn $745 in bona fide pay, but with this temporary job I only earned $600. Should I file again and will I be able to receive the benefits?

What can it hurt to file again? You need to report the employment that was temporary. That should nullify the firing because you went to work. The benefits are based on 6 months earnings in most states.

If the temp job was through an agency probably not but that doesn’t stop you collecting from the job you were fired from once the appeal goes through. You are able to collect all the UEC you are elegible for between temp gigs but it is a lot of paper work and monkeying around. Each time you go out on a temp assignment you have to notify and then when you are done with that gig you notify again so you benefits start again.
