what affects your job resume more, not working for a year or going from job to job?
I haven’t work for almost 2 yrs…so I was wondering what could affect a resume more …not working for a long time or going from job to job…thanks
the reason why I didn’t work is cause I had a baby and now she’s 10 months, time for me to start working

How to deal with past supervisors during a job search?
I resigned under bad terms with a past supervisor when I did not receive a promised promotion and raise. To make matters worse, 2 fellow employees followed me to my new employer. Now, years later, applications are asking me for the names and numbers of past supervisors. The positions I am applying for are professional level positions. I feel that it is wrong for future employers to speak to anyone but HR. Thoughts on how to handle this situation? Are there any laws dealing with this? Thanks.

What do I put on a resume for a job I have no relevant experience but I’ve been takeing college classes for?
I am trying to get my feet wet and start the stepping stones in becoming a police officer so I want to apply for a security guard. All my work experience is with printing and computers. (fedexkinkos and officemax) I don’t know what I should put on a resume for these type of jobs. I am going to college and taking police and security classes. How do I go about this?

How would you evade your present (vindictive) employer from seeing your internet job search?
The employer routinely checks the internet for Monster jobs and maybe others, I do not know. This would definitely be bad for me.

How can i make my resume better and more job specific?
I really want a job at Big al’s (aquarium store) but i don’t know how to make my resume more specific to the requirements of said job. Can anyone give me a specific example of an objective to put on my resume? Also, any other resume tips would be greatly appreciated!
