I am collecting unemployment and have found a job in a different state that is only for 3 weeks and doesn’t pay much at all, but they pay for me to get out there and give me a place to stay. I am in really bad financial shape at the moment and need the extra cash. How would unemployment find out about my job? How much trouble could I get into?

How does a person get fired from a job in such a way that they can receive unemployment benefits? If you do go on unemployment for a time, does it hurt your chances of landing another job?
Many small business employers have it set up to force individuals to quit so that they don’t have to pay for unemployment to save money – how do I get around this kind of game so that I end up on top?

I am currently receiving unemployment benefits in California. If I do not end up staying at the position, will I still receive the same benefit amount as before I started the job or will the rate be adjusted according to the temp job rate which is in this case lower. Obviously I am aware that I would not get paid for the time I was working the temp job.

I was laid off from a full time job and now am currently claiming unemployment, over $300 a week. If I were offered a temporary job that would only last one month, would it affect my unemployment rate when I started claiming again after getting laid off from that temporary job?
I live in Ohio.

I had a full time job and a part time job. At my part time job I only work less than 30 hours, I just left my full time job and I’m wondering if I can still collect unemployment from my full time job while still workngi the part time job?

If I am collecting unemployment benefits based on my previous job and take a new permanent job which doesnt work out and I am let go again after a few weeks, do I just resume benefits under the previous terms? My husband worked at a position where he was paid solely based on commission. He is no longer at that job and looking to collect unemployment while he looks for his new job. Can you collect unemployment from a job that paid you in commission only, not salary or hourly?

I am currently receiving unemployment from a previous job and might have the opportunity to work for 3-4 weeks in a freelance/temporary role at a new company. I realize that during my 3-4 weeks at the freelance job that my wages will count against that week’s unemployment benefits. After I finish with my temp job, will I still be able to receive unemployment?
