So, I really want to apply for this amazing internship, but the application is asking me for a “cover Letter” and a resume. what exactly is a cover letter? and how do you even fill out a resume if you’ve never before had a job, like me?

I want to post my resume on a website that has postings for numerous jobs that I might be qualified for. This site allows you to post your resume and one cover letter and then you can click on the particular jobs that you want to apply for. All of my previous job applications have been targeted at a particular position –and I worded the cover letters accordingly. How do I write a cover letter that adequately shows my strengths without targeting a particular job/position or employer?

Can an employer/company/employee take legal action against someone who lied or omitted information on either their resume or job application?

For a job as wait staff, at IHOP or Carrows, or a restaurant in a hotel, do you put a resume with your job application, and then a cover letter with your resume?

k so I’m in a desperate need of a job…and the couple of places that I have called back, act like I’m annoying them but I ask very respectfully about my resume/application and say that I hope they will consider me.
