My skill set is a little behind the curve (VBA, MS Access, decent SQL, limited Java) but I have a real aptitude for programming and everything I have learned has been on-the-job. How do I land a job in this situation? I basically need someone to give me a chance to come on board and learn for a short period of time before becoming an real asset. How do I beg without begging on my cover letter?
